Energy Ogre is a technology company in the energy industry that helps Texans manage their electricity. We shop, we manage, they save! We are a weird fun unique pack of Ogres in search of a Digital Marketing Specialist.

We are looking for candidates who have developed paid ad strategies, successfully implemented campaigns, worked on various social media platforms and consistently stayed ahead of the fast-paced, ever-changing trends. Our current social channels include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google My Business, and YouTube. We’re hoping to explore Pinterest to see if it yields any conversions.

Responsibilities include:

Digital Marketing

  • Write succinct, accurate, intelligent, and creative copy to drive traffic and push potential members through the Ogre marketing funnel
  • Develop an understanding of the Texas electricity market and how Energy Ogre fits in
  • Develop content and copy for seasonal landing pages and partner landing pages
  • Paid media knowledge across all primary social networks
  • Possess basic graphic design skills to create visual content, such as infographics and simple marketing materials
  • Expert in paid media marketing measurement and optimization
  • Strategize ways to target untapped potential members through digital marketing and social media

Social Media

  • Brainstorm and execute campaigns to create a social media presence with consistency in content and tone
  • Develop and maintain a social media calendar for all social channels to reach KPI’s
  • Utilize Sprout Social’s tools to analyze and report campaign results
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service when responding to messages, answering posts, and monitoring responses/reviews
  • Engage with members and potential customers to promote our service

What you will bring:

  • Enthusiasm, a sense of humor, and an embracing attitude of our ogre ways!
  • 3-5 years of experience managing social media accounts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, or Marketing
  • Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of digital marketing platforms and emerging trends
  • Proficiency in software related to marketing, graphic design, and paid ads
  • Strong writing, proofing, and editing skills
  • Excellent work ethic, proactiveness, and ability to adapt at a fast pace
  • A team player, upbeat, enthusiastic, and a self-starter
